Fleet Feet in Roanoke plans reopening after vehicle accident

Roanoke, Virginia – Fleet Feet, a popular shoe store located on Franklin Road in Roanoke, experienced an unexpected closure due to a vehicle accident but is set to reopen on Tuesday.

Incident Leads to Temporary Closure

The store had to temporarily close its doors after an incident where a driver “accidentally went the wrong direction” and collided with the front of the building. This information was shared through the store’s social media accounts. The accident occurred while the driver was dropping something off in a donation box situated outside the store, resulting in the vehicle hitting the wall of the building.

Thankfully, there were no injuries reported from the incident. However, the extent of the damage to the building, which is located across the parking lot from the Lowe’s retailer, has not been specified.

Preparations for Reopening

The owner of Fleet Feet is currently making arrangements for necessary repairs and cleaning to ensure the store is ready for business. The planned reopening on Tuesday is a testament to the store’s commitment to serving its customers despite the unforeseen setback.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety and caution, especially in areas where vehicles are in close proximity to commercial buildings and pedestrian spaces. The store’s quick response and efforts to resume operations demonstrate its resilience and dedication to the Roanoke community.
