Roanoke Valley Comicon postponed following power outage at Tanglewood Mall

Roanoke, Virginia – Tanglewood Mall found itself in the dark this Saturday morning following an equipment failure, leaving shops and scheduled events in limbo. George Porter, a representative from Appalachian Power Corporate Communications, provided insight into the situation, stating, “Tanglewood Mall is experiencing a power outage due to an equipment failure Saturday morning.”

Efforts are underway to restore electricity, with expectations set for power to return around 2 p.m. Mall officials have assured that doors will reopen to the public as soon as the lights are back on, eagerly awaiting the return of their customers.

In the wake of the outage, the Roanoke Valley Comicon, eagerly anticipated by many, announced a significant change to its plans. The event, slated to occur at the mall, has been postponed due to the power outage. Organizers reassured fans and participants that a new date for the show would be announced shortly, promising that the delay is only a temporary setback.
