Mother left her 3-year-old unsupervised in the home while she and her friend went gambling when her friend’s son and nephew beat the little girl so badly she suffered bIeeding in the brain as well as bruiѕing to the face and body, resulting in her death; charged!

In a shocking incident that has left a community in mourning, two women and two boys face charges related to the tragic death of a 3-year-old girl, later identified as Blessing. The young girl, subjected to a brutal beating that led to her untimely death, has sparked a conversation about child safety and the responsibilities of guardianship.

Two 26-year-old women, later identified as Terica and Dineshia, were arrested on consecutive days, facing charges of principal to simple battery and principal to second-degree murder. These charges were in connection with the death of Blessing, who was under their care. Adding to the grim narrative, two boys, aged 10 and 12, were also apprehended, each facing charges of battery and second-degree murder for their roles in the violence inflicted upon the young girl. As per reports, Terica has been identified as the mother of the 10-year-old suspect and the aunt of the 12-year-old suspect, while Dineshia has been identified as the mother of the 3-year-old victim.

The sheriff’s office detailed that deputies responded to a distress call around 3:45 p.m. on Monday regarding an unresponsive child at a residence. The caller, another child in the home, reported the absence of any adults. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered Terica and Dineshia returning to the scene, admitting they had left the children unattended to visit a local casino.

Medical responders managed to temporarily resuscitate the 3-year-old before rushing her to the hospital in critical condition. Despite their efforts, Blessing’s injuries proved fatal, and she passed away two days later, on February 14. Medical staff that the 3-year-old girl had suffered a bгain bIeed as well as bruiѕing to the face and body which were likely caused by blunt force trauma.

Further investigations revealed a troubling pattern of neglect, with Terica and Dineshia reportedly leaving eight children unsupervised on multiple occasions to gamble. The two women said that they regularly left the eight children in the home without supervision while they went gambling at the casino during the two weeks that Dineshia and her children had been staying with Terica and her family, according to police reports. Terica also admitted to police her awareness of the 12-year-old nephew’s aggressive behavior but failed to intervene, ignoring her children’s appeals for help.

Both women involved have a history of criminal activities, with Dineshia previously arrested for theft and vandalism and Terica facing charges for murder and arson in recent years, though not convicted for the murder charge.
