Bank On Roanoke Valley offers free financial education program to help residents strengthen money management skills
Roanoke, Virginia – Residents of Roanoke Valley have a new opportunity to strengthen their financial skills as Bank On Roanoke Valley launches the next round of its Financial Wellness series in April. This program provides participants with valuable tools to take control of their finances while earning rewards that align with their personal financial goals.
The program is designed to empower individuals by helping them develop smart money management strategies. With a structured curriculum led by financial professionals, participants will gain insights into budgeting, debt management, credit, and long-term financial planning.
Learning to Manage Money Effectively
The Bank On Financial Wellness series consists of six interactive workshops that will be held on the last Thursday of each month from April through September at the EnVision Center, 2607 Salem Turnpike NW. Classes will take place from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, providing attendees with key financial knowledge in an engaging, supportive setting.
The workshop schedule includes:
- April 24 – Goal setting and banking essentials
- May 29 – Creating a spending plan, reducing expenses, and increasing income
- June 26 – Strategies for tackling debt
- July 31 – Understanding credit and borrowing
- August 28 – Planning for savings and future financial goals
- September 25 – Graduation and expert panel discussion
Each class will be led by volunteer financial professionals from the Bank On Roanoke Valley Education Network, ensuring that participants receive expert guidance tailored to their financial needs.
Limited Spots Available for Local Residents
Participation in the program is open to residents of Roanoke, Salem, Roanoke County, Botetourt County, Franklin County, Craig County, and the Town of Vinton. However, class sizes are limited to 15 participants, and enrollment will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
To qualify for rewards and incentives offered through the program, participants must attend all six classes.
