Roanoke Business Tax Office to close temporarily for staff training

Roanoke, Virginia – The City of Roanoke has announced that the Commissioner of the Revenue’s Business Tax Office will temporarily close its doors on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. This closure is to facilitate a staff training session aimed at enhancing service quality for the community.

During this day-long training event, services typically provided by the office, such as inquiries related to business licenses, business tangible property tax, and local trust taxes, will be temporarily unavailable. However, the city ensures that constituents’ needs are met by providing alternative online assistance.
