Bank On Roanoke Valley launches new Financial Wellness Series in October 2024
Roanoke, Virginia – Bank On Roanoke Valley is kicking off its next round of the Bank On Financial Wellness Series in October 2024, offering a comprehensive program designed to help participants take control of their financial futures. The series aims to provide participants with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to improve their financial health, with personalized perks tailored to individual financial goals.
Empowering Financial Confidence
The workshops, taught by financial professionals volunteering through the Bank On Roanoke Valley Education Network, focus on empowering participants to set and achieve financial goals. These experts help attendees build financial confidence by guiding them through essential topics like budgeting, debt management, and savings.
The series will meet once a month, on the third Thursday, from 6 to 7:30 PM at the EnVision Center, located at 2607 Salem Turnpike NW, Roanoke, VA 24017. The first session, titled “The Future Looks Bright: Welcome, Goal Setting, and Banking Refresher,” will take place on October 17, 2024. This will be followed by monthly sessions addressing key financial topics.

Each workshop will last from 6 to 7:30 PM, and participants must attend all sessions to be eligible for rewards and incentives. These perks are tied to self-identified savings or debt-reduction goals.
Eligibility and Enrollment
Participation in the program is limited to 15 residents of the Roanoke Valley area, including Roanoke City, Salem City, Town of Vinton, Craig County, Botetourt County, Franklin County, and Roanoke County. Seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and interested participants must enroll in advance. The deadline for applications is Friday, October 11, 2024, at 5 PM.
