Crescent City Bourbon & BBQ in Roanoke announces closure by end of January

Roanoke, Virginia – Crescent City Bourbon & BBQ, a beloved and award-winning restaurant in Roanoke, has made a significant announcement that is sure to impact the local culinary scene. The restaurant, widely recognized for its exceptional barbecue and Southern cuisine, has declared that it will be closing its doors permanently at the end of January 2024.

This revelation came through a post on their social media, stating the closing date as January 31, 2024. Crescent City Bourbon & BBQ has been a cornerstone in Downtown Roanoke since its opening in May 2020, located on Salem Avenue. Over the years, it has established itself as a go-to spot for barbecue enthusiasts.

The restaurant is celebrated for its expertly smoked meats, especially its pulled pork and brisket, which are known for a slow cooking process of 16 hours. This meticulous cooking method has contributed to the bold and mouthwatering flavors that have become synonymous with the Crescent City Bourbon & BBQ experience. Their menu, filled with a variety of choices, caters to the tastes of BBQ and southern food lovers.

Adding to its acclaim, in 2023, the restaurant participated in Roanoke’s 2nd annual Taco Fest at Elmwood Park. Here, Crescent City Bourbon & BBQ earned the prestigious “Judges Choice” award for its pork belly tacos, further cementing its status in the local culinary world. Additionally, the restaurant holds an impressive ranking, being listed as No. 2 in Yelp’s “Top 10 Best Barbeque Near Roanoke, Virginia.
