Get ready for a magical holiday stroll! Illuminights opens at Explore Park with new displays and festive charm

Roanoke, Virginia – Back at Explore Park ready to illuminate your evenings with an enchanted display of over 650,000 shining lights, Illuminights Winter Walk of Lights comes just in time for the Christmas season. From November 23 through December 30, Roanoke County and Center in the Square will offer this popular event encouraging families, friends, and guests from near and far to appreciate the season in a magnificent wooded environment. Illuminates promises a walk full of glittering lights, festive displays, and a multitude of seasonal music to envelop guests in holiday pleasure as it stretches across a half-mile forested trail.

Updates to the path and new installations guarantee that even returning guests will find something new, hence enhancing the appeal of this annual show. On other evenings, attendees can enjoy family-friendly events, exploring handcrafted items from local artists, and warming up around the campfire burning marshmallows.

The Illuminates this year have a pet-friendly policy whereby dogs on leashes are welcome to participate in the excitement, therefore allowing furry pals an opportunity to absorb the festive mood. Local dog owners wanting to share the wonder of Illuminights with their four-legged friends are thrilled about this pet-friendly policy.

Two local organizations—Center in the Square and Explore Park—benefit from all Illuminights earnings. Beyond the holidays, this money assist community projects and preserve Explore Park’s gorgeous natural surroundings, therefore influencing a long-lasting effect.
