Roanoke County to hosts annual Christmas Tree Lighting event nex week

Roanoke, Virginia – Celebrate the holiday season with joy and community spirit at Roanoke County’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. The event will take place on Monday, December 9, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the South County Library, located at 6303 Merriman Road, Roanoke, VA.

This cherished annual tradition is a perfect opportunity for families and residents to come together and enjoy festive activities. The evening will kick off with a heartwarming tree-lighting ceremony accompanied by carol singing led by the After School Kids. As the tree lights up, the magic of the season will come alive, setting the tone for an evening full of fun and celebration.

Visitors can look forward to a variety of activities tailored for all age groups. Children can enjoy crafts and special activities, while teens have their own set of exciting activities planned. A balloon artist will also be present to add some extra cheer to the evening. Guests will be treated to cookies and cocoa, making it a warm and welcoming experience.

The event will also feature a live performance by the Cave Spring Jazz Band in the auditorium, adding a musical flair to the festivities.
