AXYS to establish new operations in the City of Winchester with $2.1 million investment
Winchester, Virginia – Governor Glenn Youngkin has recently declared a substantial new investment in Winchester by AXYS, a renowned engineering and consulting firm known for its expertise in building management and security systems. The company plans to inject $2,188,000 into establishing a new facility in the region. This move is expected to create 46 new jobs and solidify Virginia’s position as a premier destination for cutting-edge technology services.
Strategic Investment and Job Creation
AXYS has chosen to lease a 10,000-square-foot, three-suite building in the city of Winchester, demonstrating confidence in the local economy and workforce. Governor Youngkin expressed enthusiasm about the new venture, stating, “AXYS’ decision to establish operations in Winchester reinforces Virginia’s position as a hub for cutting-edge technology services.” He emphasized that the investment would not only generate employment but also strengthen the network of companies that support mission-critical facilities and data centers.
Secretary of Commerce and Trade Caren Merrick also highlighted the importance of this expansion, noting, “This new operation highlights the strength of Virginia’s technology talent pipeline.” She mentioned that AXYS’ investment will bolster the Commonwealth’s reputation as a leader in supporting innovative tech companies, particularly those building data centers.

Shane Ranck, the Chief Technology Officer of AXYS, shared insights into the company’s goals for the new site.
