Roanoke, Virginia – The City of Roanoke’s Solid Waste Management Division will hold its first-ever Fall Cleanup for residents in the Northeast quadrant on Saturday, October 19, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This free event offers a convenient solution for residents looking to dispose of bulky items, clutter, and brush right at the curb, saving them the hassle of a trip to the landfill.
Residents are encouraged to set out items before 7:00 AM on the day of the cleanup to ensure their collection. However, hazardous materials such as liquid paint, motor oil, and gasoline are prohibited from curbside disposal. For safe disposal of these materials, residents can contact the Roanoke Valley Resource Authority at 540-857-5050.
