Touch-A-Truck event in Roanoke County offers a day of fun for families and kids

Salem, Virginia – Roanoke County’s popular Touch-A-Truck event is set to return on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Green Hill Park from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This exciting family-friendly event invites visitors of all ages to explore, interact with, and learn about a wide variety of vehicles. Admission is free, making it a perfect outing for families looking for a fun and educational experience.

Explore and Engage with Dozens of Vehicles

Touch-A-Truck allows children and adults alike to get up close and personal with an impressive lineup of vehicles. Attendees can step inside, climb aboard, and engage with operators of firetrucks, garbage trucks, race cars, postal cars, backhoes, military vehicles, tow trucks, ambulances, school buses, cement mixers, dump trucks, tractors, police cars, and many more.

Fun Activities and Food Concessions

In addition to the vehicles, the event features a range of activities that promise fun for everyone. Guests can enjoy the Car Smash sponsored by Pick-n-Save, which is open to ages 6 and up with closed-toe tennis shoes required. Kids can also dive into the Foam Pit sponsored by Napa Auto Parts, dig for treasures in the Dig Pit sponsored by Freedom First, or cool off at the misting stations provided by Anthem Healthkeepers. For those seeking a thrilling experience, Bucket Rides from Altec will offer a bird’s-eye view of the park. Ear protection will be available, courtesy of New York Life.

A variety of food vendors will be on-site to keep everyone fueled throughout the day. Enjoy delicious offerings from Big Daddy’s BBQ, Bean Bliss Coffee, Birrieria la Vaca, Queen’s Vegan Cafe, Top Dawgs Mobile, Kono Pizza, SWVA Concessions, CharLee Tropical Italian Ice, Tinker Mountain Kettle Corn, and Chris’s Coffee & Custard.
