Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office issues a warning as thefts from unlocked vehicles rise in Daleville

Botetourt County, Virginia – The Sheriff’s Office of Botetourt County is currently investigating a series of thefts that have recently occurred in the Daleville area.

The Sheriff’s Office has reported that all the incidents have followed a similar pattern: valuables have been stolen from unlocked vehicles during the night.

In light of these events, the department urges residents to exercise due caution. Specifically, residents are reminded to secure their vehicles by locking the doors, to enhance the protection of their property by removing all valuable items from their vehicles, and to avoid leaving any possessions visible within the car.

Should residents notice any suspicious activities, they are encouraged to report their observations to the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office by calling 540-928-2252.
