Fire incident in Danville results with huge damages, no injuries reported after Danville Fire Department crews response to the scene

DANVILLE, Virginia – On Friday, crews said, the Danville Fire Department worked to put out a fire that started in a car and spread to a garage and some nearby woods.

On Friday around noon, crews were called to the 100 block of Berman Drive because a car was on fire.

The fire department said the first engine company to arrive found a pickup truck on fire that had spread to a garage in the nearby woods.

We’ve been told that several crews worked together to put out the fire within five minutes.

Crews said that the smoke and fire damage to the garage was not too bad, but that one car was a total loss because of the fire. There were no reports of hurt people.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is looking into what caused the fire, according to the Danville Fire Department.
