Roanoke City ranked among top 10 digital cities in US

ROANOKE, Va. – The Digital Cities Survey ranks Roanoke City among the top 10 most digital cities in the US for the year 2022.

Within the population range of 75,000 to 124,999 people, Roanoke came in seventh place.

The ranking, according to the city, acknowledges how well the city uses technology to boost its cybersecurity.

“Constituents expect more from modern governments. Our Digital Cities survey winners have worked hard to keep the focus on the needs of the communities they serve, while implementing technology to improve delivery and execution. We congratulate them for leading the way towards a smarter and more responsive government,” said CDG Vice President Brian Cohen.

Roanoke has been on the list of “top 10 digital cities” for more than 20 years, according to the city.

During the event known as the “City Summit” which will take place on November 17 in Kansas City, Missouri, the National League of Cities will present its “Digital Cities Awards” to the top 10 cities in each of the five population categories.
