Senator Mark Warner makes a stop in Danville as part of his revitalization tour

DANVILLE, Va. – On Wednesday, Senator Mark Warner paid a visit to the southside region of Virginia.

Senator Warner stopped into Danville’s River District on Wednesday afternoon to get an up-close look at the revitalization efforts now underway in the city’s downtown.

Together with city officials, he walked around the downtown area and spoke with business owners.

They went to Ma’s Cakes, The Bee, and several new River District lofts during their visit.

“We’re seeing new apartment buildings built, new restaurants and new businesses. I know they call it the comeback city but this is a real success story here in Virginia, and I think there’s more coming,” said Senator Mark Warner.

Senator Mark Warner has also mentioned that there would be positive news about the southern region of Virginia over the next couple of months.
