Virginia Museum of Transportation to host the Star City Rockabilly Festival

Roanoke, Virginia – The upcoming Star City Rockabilly Festival, set for May 27, promises to bring a day full of enjoyment and entertainment to Roanoke.

The event, which will be held at the Virginia Museum of Transportation, will commence at 1 p.m. and continue through to 9 p.m. However, those in possession of tickets will be granted full-day access to the museum, starting at 10 a.m. Please note that the ticket prices have been established inclusive of the Virginia state admission tax, and that museum members are entitled to free entry.

Festival-goers can look forward to a varied program that includes musical performances by the Jesse Ray Carter duo and Gloom Despair N Agony, as well as Sean K Preston. There will also be an array of food and drink options available, with offerings from the Lazy Bull Dog food truck, a Beer & Wine bar, and moonshine provided by Five Mile Mountain Distillery.

Other highlights of the festival include a pin-up contest sponsored by Shear Madness Salon, photo opportunities, a children’s corner operating from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., and recognition of festival sponsors Carilion and Harley Davidson of Roanoke.
