Victim in Henry County fatal crash identified

HENRY COUNTY, Va. – A fatal collision involving a single car is being investigated by the Virginia State Police.

The collision took place on Virginia Avenue in Henry County on Saturday evening at about 9 o’clock. It was located one tenth of a mile south of Wheeler Avenue.

According to the findings of the investigation, a 2012 Dodge Charger was heading northbound on Virginia Avenue when the car collided with a person who was crossing the street from the left side of the highway.

The victim, a pedestrian named Vincent Nicholas Sciarabba, was discovered to be 85 years old and from Warrenton, North Carolina. Mr. Sciarabba was pronounced dead at the location.

Although the police do not have any information on the driver, they said that both the car and the driver stayed at the site as they investigated the incident.

The accident remains under investigation.
