Paradise Ocean Club in Hampton will close permanently after an unsuccessful negotiation deal

HAMPTON, Va. — According to an announcement made on Friday evening, the Paradise Ocean Club at Fort Monroe will be permanently closed after the Labor Day holiday weekend.

The company said in a statement on social media that the National Park Service took away without reason a 10-year lease deal that it was in the process of negotiating.

According to a statement that was posted on the company’s website, “We will fight to try to return at some point but for now, this holiday weekend will be our last for good.”

The news comes a few months after a temporary weekend curfew was issued for the North Beach neighborhood on June 11, due to safety concerns in the area.
