Power will be down in Big Island on Tuesday morning due to repairs caused by a lightning
BIG ISLAND, Va. – Lightning caused damage to the main transmission line early Tuesday, and as a result, the Big Island Library, the Big Island Elementary School, and the Big Island proper will all be without electricity.
The power to the line will be shut off at 8 a.m. and won’t be restored until 1 p.m.
“We apologize for the inconvenience, however it’s necessary to make repairs before the circuit fails and causes greater damage,” said Bedford Electric.
