Driver charged after crashing truck carrying pigs in Suffolk, report

Suffolk, Virginia – The driver of the truck carrying more than 160 pigs was charged after crashing the truck early Monday morning in Suffolk area.
According to reports, the truck overturned on Godwin Boulevard in Suffolk around 1:45 a.m. The truck, owned by Smithfield Foods, was the single vehicle involved in the accident and was carrying more than 160 pigs.
The driver suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. Police didn’t provide any details about the pigs’ condition.
Authorities confirmed that the driver is facing fine for failure to maintain proper control.
