ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The Roanoke City Council is set to hold a public hearing Monday evening to take public comment on adopting a proposed ordinance to prohibit firearms on city property.
The ordinance could be similar to an ordinance already in place in Blacksburg, which bans firearms at town facilities and at large gatherings.

The Roanoke City Council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 15 in a virtual manner due to the pandemic. You can watch the hearing live on Roanoke’s Facebook page.
If you wish to address the city council, you need to sign up with the City Clerk’s office by emailing [email protected] or calling (540) 853-2541 by noon on Monday.
