City of Roanoke to conduct roadside maintenance along Plantation Road causing temporary traffic disruption
Roanoke, Virginia – Motorists traveling through northeast Roanoke may experience travel delays on Monday, February 9, 2026, as the City of Roanoke begins scheduled roadside tree trimming and utility maintenance on Plantation Road NE, just south of the Hollins Road NE intersection.
Lane Closures and Delays Expected Throughout the Day
According to the city, the southbound lane of Plantation Road NE will be partially closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to allow crews to safely carry out the scheduled work. “Lane closures due to scheduled roadside tree trimming and utility work may delay travel along the southbound lane of Plantation Road NE, just south of the Hollins Road NE intersection, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Feb. 9, 2026,” city officials stated.
