Alexandria woman hits online jackpot after long day at work and wins more than $400,000
Alexandria, Virginia – Kendrea Linton of Alexandria had already been lucky a few times with one of her favorite Virginia Lottery online games, but nothing compared to her most recent experience. After returning home from work, she logged into her device and began playing The Lamp, one of dozens of online instant games available through the Virginia Lottery’s mobile app and website.
To her shock, she hit the progressive jackpot and walked away with a staggering $443,343.
“I saw it and said, ‘Oh my gosh, I really did win!’” she recalled during her visit with Virginia Lottery officials.

Linton shared that she plans to use her winnings to build her retirement savings, calling the prize a major step forward in her financial goals.
