Roanoke announces upcoming street and parking restrictions for special events

Roanoke, Virginia – The city of Roanoke has provided an advisory regarding upcoming events that will lead to street and parking restrictions.

The “Straight Street Youth Night” is scheduled for both Friday and Saturday, 8/24 and 8/25/23. Restrictions will be imposed on Luck between 3rd and 4th streets from 4 pm to 11 pm.

Following that, the “Vinyl Vault Concert Series” will take place at Elmwood Park on Friday, 8/25/23. The event will span from 6 am to 11:59 pm, necessitating specific parking and street constraints.

Furthermore, on Saturday, 8/26/23, Elmwood Park will be hosting the “Symphony Under the Stars” from 6:30 am to 11:30 pm. Attendees and residents should anticipate parking and street limitations during this period.

Lastly, “Roanoke College Fest” is slated for Monday, 8/28/23. There will be restrictions on Market between Campbell and Church from 3 pm to 11 pm.

To assist residents in navigating these traffic modifications, Roanoke has collaborated with Waze through the Connected Citizens Program. The Waze application offers real-time traffic and road information tailored for Roanoke residents.
