Roanoke sees minor increase in average gasoline prices

Roanoke, Virginia – The recent analysis of gasoline prices within Roanoke, based on GasBuddy’s comprehensive survey of 155 local stations, reflects an increase of 3.3 cents per gallon over the last week.

Currently, the mean gasoline price stands at $3.24 per gallon, indicating a moderate rise of 1.9 cents compared to the prices from a month ago. Nevertheless, when juxtaposed against the rates from a year ago, the current prices demonstrate a significant reduction, being 133 cents lower per gallon.

A deeper exploration of the petrol price range in Roanoke uncovers some noteworthy figures. The least expensive station in Roanoke, as per GasBuddy’s recent reports, was documented at $3.02 per gallon, whereas the station with the highest pricing stood at $3.49 per gallon. This variation highlights a notable difference of 47 cents per gallon. To extend the perspective statewide, the price disparity becomes even more pronounced. The least costly petrol in the state was marked at $2.91 per gallon, contrasting sharply with the highest price of $4.20 per gallon — a considerable gap of $1.29 per gallon.

Turning our attention nationally, there’s a slight decline in the average gasoline prices, with a drop of 1.4 cents per gallon over the previous week. The national average is currently at $3.56 per gallon. This figure reflects a modest increment of 2.9 cents per gallon from last month. Yet, in comparison to last year’s figures, current prices depict a substantial decrease, being 141.7 cents per gallon lower. This national data is diligently compiled by GasBuddy from an extensive range of over 11 million weekly price reports, encompassing more than 150,000 petrol stations across the United States.
