Roanoke gasoline prices drop 4.4 cents, national average sees slight uptick
Roanoke, Virginia – Over the past week, average gasoline prices in Roanoke have experienced a decline of 4.4 cents per gallon, resulting in an average price of $3.23 per gallon today. This data is based on GasBuddy’s comprehensive survey of 155 stations in the Roanoke area. Compared to the previous month, gasoline prices in Roanoke have fallen by 20.4 cents per gallon, and they currently stand at an impressive 96.6 cents per gallon lower than the prices observed a year ago. As for diesel, the national average price has also decreased by 4 cents per gallon in the past week, settling at $3.97 per gallon.
As per GasBuddy’s price reports, the most affordable gas station in Roanoke offered gasoline at $2.99 per gallon yesterday, while the most expensive station charged $3.49 per gallon, reflecting a notable 50-cent difference between the two. On a statewide level, the lowest price recorded yesterday in Virginia was $2.79 per gallon, whereas the highest reached $4.29 per gallon, indicating a substantial gap of $1.50 per gallon.
On a national scale, the average price of gasoline has experienced a slight increase of 0.4 cents per gallon over the past week, resulting in an average of $3.51 per gallon today. However, when compared to the prices observed a month ago, the national average has actually decreased by 14.9 cents per gallon.
