4-month-old Georgia baby reported missing found safe, Amber Alert canceled

MACON, Georgia – Authorities said that an Amber Alert for a missing 4-month-old boy in Georgia has been turned off because the boy has been found safe.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said that Malachi Walker was taken by a 13-year-old suspect around noon on Monday in Macon.

The suspect and the child were thought to be in a silver 2017 Honda Accord that had been stolen.

Authorities said they thought the baby was in great danger.

The sheriff’s office said late Monday afternoon that Malachi, the 13-year-old suspect, and the car were found at a hotel in Macon. Both the baby and the 13-year-old were safe.

The suspect was taken to a juvenile detention center “for Theft by Taking: Motor Vehicle and Kidnapping,” according to the sheriff’s office. Malachi was returned to his parents, and the stolen car was returned to its owner.
