Roanoke Valley prepares for major Drug Take Back event with multiple drop off locations

Roanoke, Virginia – The Roanoke Valley is preparing for its next Drug Take Back Event, giving residents a chance to safely dispose of unused or expired medications. The event will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at several locations throughout the area.

Drop-off points will include LGH Cave Spring ER at 2706 Odgen Road, LGH Bonsack ER at 1423 W. Ruritan Road, Kroger Cave Spring at 3971 Brambleton Avenue, and CVS Hollins at 7515 Williamson Road. The event will run from 10 AM until 2 PM, allowing plenty of time for community members to stop by and participate.

Officials encourage everyone to take part in the Drug Take Back Event today at the locations mentioned above across the Roanoke Valley, stressing the importance of safely removing medications from homes.

By taking part, residents can help reduce the risk of medication misuse and protect the environment from harmful pharmaceutical waste. Organizers are urging as many people as possible to participate and make a difference.
