New grant program will help revitalize business properties along Williamson Road
Roanoke, Virginia – The Greater Williamson Road Area Business Association (GWRABA) is offering a one-time grant opportunity for business property owners along Williamson Road, spanning from Orange Avenue to Hershberger Road. This initiative is part of the Envision Williamson Road project, which focuses on revitalizing the corridor by improving the appearance and vibrancy of local businesses.
Grant Supports Business Property Enhancements
Funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation, this grant provides financial assistance for various façade improvements, including:
- Exterior painting to refresh storefronts
- Public art installations to enhance visual appeal
- Select landscaping projects to create a more welcoming environment
Business owners can apply through a simple two-page application. The deadline to submit applications is Monday, March 17, 2025. Selections will be made on March 19, 2025, with projects beginning shortly thereafter. All approved improvements must be completed by May 31, 2025.
