Community members invited to join the Roanoke Sheriff’s Office for an uplifting Black History celebration
Roanoke, Virginia – The Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office is proud to participate in a special Black History Program that brings the community together for an evening of inspiration, entertainment, and reflection. This highly anticipated event will take place on February 27, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Fishburn Park Elementary School.
A Celebration of History and Community
Black History Month is a time to honor the individuals whose contributions have shaped history, and this event will showcase these incredible stories through engaging performances and a unique Walking Gallery featuring the work of Fishburn Park students. Attendees will have the chance to witness powerful storytelling, enjoy outstanding musical performances, and share in a night of unity and appreciation.
Adding to the excitement, Sheriff Antonio Hash and the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office Community Engagement Team will take the stage for an unforgettable karaoke performance. The evening will also feature performances from Sherman Lea, Sergeant Brandi Lazare, Te’Ana Schmitt, Deborah Brown, Trish White-Boyd, Archie Freeman, SRO Wiley, and Deidre Trigg alongside the talented students of Fishburn Park Elementary.
