Old Route 100 in Pulaski County set for six-week closure due to pipe replacement
Salem, Virginia – Starting on October 14, a crucial infrastructure upgrade will commence on Old Route 100 in Pulaski County, leading to its closure to facilitate the replacement of an aging pipe beneath Interstate 81. This essential maintenance work is scheduled to last approximately six weeks, with the road expected to reopen to the public around December 1, depending on weather conditions.
The specific section of Old Route 100 to be closed spans about half a mile. It is situated 0.4 miles north of Route 658 (Greenbriar Road) and extends to one mile south of Route 99 (Count Pulaski Drive).
