Man took two grams of shrooms before he stabbed his 4-and-5-year-old niblings and stuffed their bodies in laundry bags, then stabbed his brother’s wife and their mother; arrested
New York – In a shocking incident in New York, a 24-year-old man has been arrested for the murder of four family members, including two young children, in their apartment. The 24-year-old man, identified as S. Rajabboev, faces charges of first- and second-degree murder following his alleged violent attack on his own family.
The sequence of events leading to Rajabboev’s arrest began on the evening of July 19, when police responded to a distressing call at approximately 10:30 p.m. reporting an assault in progress at a residential building.
Rajabboev’s brother returned home to find a horrific scene. He found his brother in the apartment, visibly covered in blood and bearing scratches on his face. When asked about the whereabouts of their mother, Rajabboev directed his brother to “go find her.” The search led to the gruesome finding of their mother’s lifeless body, which prompted an immediate call to 911 by the distraught son.
Further investigation led to the discovery of Rajabboev’s sister-in-law, M. Khakimova, whose body was concealed in a bedroom closet, wrapped in a sheet. The most heartbreaking revelation was the finding of Rajabboev’s niece, K. Shavkatova, aged 5, and nephew, T. Shavkatov, aged 4. Both children were hidden inside a different closet, their bodies stuffed into laundry bags, adding an unspeakable level of horror to the already grim scene.
Authorities acted swiftly, taking Rajabboev into custody on the following Sunday. He has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder and four counts of second-degree murder. During his arraignment, the prosecution revealed Rajabboev’s disoriented state at the time of his arrest, claiming he had consumed hallucinogenic substances, which left him unable to recall the events.
Assistant District Attorney T. Langsam reported Rajabboev’s claims of ignorance about the fate of his family members, citing his alleged intake of “two grams of shrooms” as the reason for his lack of memory. This statement, however, does little to mitigate the gravity of the crime or the grief of the surviving family members.
The local community and the victims’ relatives are left reeling from the impact of this tragedy. The family member who discovered the scene voiced the profound loss to WCBS, saying, “He’s just like, ‘I have nothing left. [Rajabboev] took everything. My two kids, my wife, my mother. He took everything.’”
Rajabboev is currently being held without bond as he awaits further legal action. As the legal process unfolds, the community and the victims’ family seek justice and answers, hoping for some measure of peace following this unimaginable loss. The case continues to develop, leaving a community in mourning and a family forever altered by a night of incomprehensible violence.
