Woman took her 7-month-old son to the bedroom and suddenly a loud thud was heard when she threw the baby to the floor of the bedroom after she wrapped him in a blanket and started pressing his abdomen until he stopped crying before saying his death was a mystery; charged

Police officials say a 20-year-old woman, later identified as Angel, was arrested for killing her 7-month-old son and charged with one count of murder. One day after committing the heinous crime against her innocent baby, whom she threw to the floor because he couldn’t stop crying, she started a fundraiser to cover the funeral expenses and said on the post that her son’s death was a mystery and they didn’t know what happened.

Police officers were sent to Angel’s home after receiving a report regarding an unresponsive infant, but upon arriving at the location, paramedics that were already at the scene informed them the 7-month-old boy, identified as Jackson, was dead. The first responders’ quick action in responding to the call and their subsequent investigation played a crucial role in uncovering the truth behind the child’s death. The details of the incident were partly discovered through the testimony of one of the roommates who lived in the same apartment with Angel and the 7-month-old boy’s father. The baby was crying in his crib when Angel picked him up and took him to her bedroom, according to the roommate, who told investigators that she was sleeping in the living room. That’s when the roommate said she heard a “loud thud” but did not suspect anything bad had happened and went back to sleep.

Angel started a fundraiser the day after the incident to cover funeral expenses for her son and said on the post that the boy’s death was a mystery and they didn’t know what happened to him yet. Authorities confronted her after the autopsy results revealed that the boy had died from blunt force trauma. Eventually, Angel confessed to investigators that she was responsible for her son’s death with her violent actions and described the incident. Angel said she wrapped her baby in a blanket and then applied pressure to his abdomen until he stopped crying before she threw his body on the floor of the bedroom. After the incident, she did not seek medical help or contact emergency services. Instead, Angel chose to go back to sleep, displaying a lack of remorse or concern for her child.

Angel’s confession, the autopsy results, and testimonies from the roommate were sufficient evidence for authorities to arrest and press charges against her. The fundraiser she posted was removed from the platform.
