Family was worried about the safety of 6- and 9-year-old boys and reported their mother to authorities before they were discovered by a neighbor covered in blood, lying next to a gun the mother used to commit the heinous crime

According to court records, the 32-year-old woman has been taken into custody and charged with two counts of murder stemming from the deaths of her 6-year-old and 9-year-old sons, who were discovered by a neighbor all covered in blood lying next to a gun that the mother had used to commit the heinous crime.

Family members voiced concerns about the safety of the 6-year-old and 9-year-old boys, as the mother was prone to violence in the past and has previously been in prison due to a drug possession conviction. They reported her to the child protective services, but there is no available information at the moment on whether authorities acted on the concerns.

According to reports, a neighbor heard shots being fired, and shortly after, she noticed the 32-year-old woman, Tiffanie, collapsed in the driveway of her home. She then decided to check on Tiffanie’s children, 6-year-old Maurice and 9-year-old Jayden, and entered their home. Once at the scene, she discovered the young boys, all covered in blood, lying next to a gun and immediately called 911.

Police were dispatched to the home after receiving a call regarding a shooting with injuries. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the boys barely breathing, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to the hospital, where they eventually succumbed to their injuries.

The investigation showed the young boys were shot in an area that would not be survivable by anyone, especially not by 6- and 9-year-old boys, and the gun that they were found lying next to at the scene was the weapon the mother used to commit the crime. Information about the motive behind the crime remains a mystery, but authorities suggest that in cases such as this one, based on their experience, the reason can be one of the following three things or combined: the mother was suffering from a mental illness, she had some type of substance abuse problem, or she can simply be evil.

Tiffanie was arrested following the incident. During her online court appearance, Tiffanie did not say a word and did not express any emotion or remorse. She is ordered to be held in jail on a $2 million bond.
