Man did horrible things to his mother’s body so he could easily put her in the drainage after beating and killing her in a “heinous” way all because she was worried about the safety of her grandchildren and called child protective services

According to authorities, a 26-year-old man was arrested for the brutal murder of his own mother, a 47-year-old woman who was first reported missing, but several months later her body was found in a drainage system. The victim’s son now faces multiple charges, including first-degree premeditated murder, concealing the death of an individual, homicide, tampering with evidence, and lying to a police officer.

Samantha’s daughter did not initially report her missing despite months of not hearing from her because she led a life that was characterized by transient periods, frequently long periods of no contact. This absence, however, took a turn when the police department’s extensive investigation shifted from a missing person case to a suspected murder.

The investigation took a turn when detectives executed a search warrant at Samantha’s last known address. The victim’s son, Justin, along with another individual, were arrested at the scene. While the other person was released without charges, Justin remained in custody, where he eventually admitted to the murder of his mother. Samantha’s body was later found in a drainage system near the site of the arrest.

Prosecutors described the murder as “horrendous.” The brutal act involved Justin punching, stabbing, and then using several weapons to do horrible things to his mother’s body so he could easily put it in the drainage system, all because the victim called child protective services as she was worried about the safety of her grandchildren. The reluctance of authorities to delve into details indicates the particularly brutal nature of the crime, which involved the use of several weapons.

Justin has pleaded not guilty to all charges and is currently held on a $10 million bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for November 15.
