Roanoke Baptist Church donates presents to local children

Roanoke, Virginia – A neighborhood church helped unfold some Christmas cheer on Friday.

First Baptist Church in Roanoke collected 1,000 toys for Westside Elementary School students.

Friday, the college hosted a vacation parade, the place lecturers and employees dressed up and handed out goodies and the presents.

The principal mentioned it’s wonderful seeing the smiles on children’ and families’ faces.

“So for us to have the ability to simply give them something that they might not necessarily otherwise have, it’s simply fabulous,” mentioned Beth Poff, the principal at Westside Elementary.

Workers even broke out the instruments and sang holiday songs.

As a college student, making an extra buck now and then was very important. I started as a part-time reporter since I was 19 yo, and I couldn’t believe it might become a long-time career. I'm happy to be part of the Virginian Tribune's team.
