Roanoke, Virginia – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) confirmed that the vehicular accident on I-581/220 northbound at mile marker 1.1. has been cleared.
All lanes, previously affected by the crash, are now open to traffic.
Earlier, VDOT had informed the public about the vehicular disruption on I-581/220 northbound at the same mile marker. Consequently, motorists were advised to anticipate potential delays. Specific lanes impacted included the north left shoulder, left lane, and center lane adjacent to the Elm Street off-ramp. This incident resulted in traffic congestion extending up to 3 miles.
