Missing dementia patient in Danville found safe

DANVILLE, Virginia – UPDATE: The Danville Police Department says Edmonds has been found and is safe.

Original Story: The Danville Police Department is asking for help to find a dementia patient who has gone missing.

Allen Roy Edmonds was last seen on Crosland Avenue on Wednesday night around 8:30 p.m.

He was wearing a brown coat, tan pants, and a black baseball cap. He might have had a gray bag with him. He is 6’1″ tall and weighs 149 lbs.

Anyone with information should call the Danville Police Department at 434-799-6510 for patrol, 434-799-6508 for investigations, or 911. You can also call Crime Stoppers at 434-793-0000, talk to any police officer you see, use DPD’s social media, send an email to [email protected], or use the CARE app.
