Woman hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after becoming trapped under bus in North Carolina

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – On Sunday evening, just outside of uptown Charlotte, a fire official said that a woman received injuries that were life-threatening when she got trapped beneath a motor-coach style bus.

The incident was reported at around 7 o’clock in the evening at the junction of Cedar Street and 4th Street.

The official who was present at the site said that a heavy rescue team had to lift the bus in order to free the woman, and then the woman had to be put on a specialized stretcher in order to extract her from underneath the vehicle.

The woman was then transported to the Trauma Center at Atrium.

The official said that she was aware and responsive the whole time the rescue operation was going on.

The street was closed to traffic while the rescue operation was underway.
