Hampton shooting incident sent one to hospital

HAMPTON, Va. — The shooting that occurred on Tuesday evening is being investigated by the police in Hampton.

The incident happened around 10:40 p.m. in the 300 block of Lincoln Street, according to the Hampton Police Division.

Officers arrived on the scene and located a man who had been shot in the leg. He was rushed to the hospital and is said to be in stable condition at this time.

According to the reports from the police, the man was shot while he was inside a house.

The investigation into the incident continues. At this point, the police haven’t said anything about a possible motive or a suspect.
