Roanoke shooting sent one person to hospital

ROANOKE, Va. – Police in Roanoke report that one person was hospitalized following a gunshot in northwest Roanoke early Wednesday morning.

At 12:45 a.m., police arrived in the 1600 block of Syracuse Avenue NW in response to a complaint of a person with a gunshot wound.

Officers say they discovered a guy in a car with what looked to be a severe gunshot wound. The guy was sent to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment by Roanoke Fire-EMS. His condition has not been made public.

No arrests have been made.
