US Foods announces expansion with three new stores in mid-Atlantic region, one to open in Roanoke

Roanoke, Virginia – US Foods, one of the foremost food distributors in America serving diverse sectors such as restaurants and the healthcare industry, is expanding its reach.

The company, which offers a substantial assortment of over 350,000 national brand and high-quality private label products, is set to open three new stores in the mid-Atlantic region.

Based in Rosemont, Illinois, US Foods operates an extensive network of over 70 distribution facilities across the country. With a client base of over 250,000 customers, it caters to a wide array of establishments, including independent and multi-unit restaurants, healthcare and hospitality organizations, and educational and government institutions.

One of the stores that are set to open in the mid-Atlantic region will be opened in Roanoke, Virginia. The opening is anticipated for the fall of this year.

These forthcoming stores will span areas between 20,000 and 23,500 square feet, offering a comprehensive range of restaurant supplies and grocery items to cater to the diverse needs of customers in the region.

In the year 2022, the company’s workforce comprised 28,000 employees. With the addition of the new stores, there will be promising employment opportunities for locals, making it a welcome development for job seekers in the area.
