Woman pleads guilty to charges in Giles Co. child abduction case

GILES Co., Va. – Nancy Fridley pleaded guilty on Monday to two counts of attempted abduction after trying to take a child from the Riverview Baptist Church on May 2, 2021.

The Commonwealth’s Attorney for Giles County stated that there was no “plea agreement,” and that both charges are related to the earlier charges of abduction and child abuse, to which Fridley had already pleaded guilty on July 6, 2022. This information was provided by the Giles County Commonwealth’s Attorney.

She has now pleaded guilty to a total of four crimes in Giles County, and a hearing to determine her sentence is scheduled to take place on December 7, 2022.
