According to the Portsmouth Police Department, an investigation was being conducted into a fatal shooting that took place in the 1600 block of Charleston Avenue early on Sunday morning.
The Portsmouth Police Department says that the man was found at 1:30 in the morning with a gunshot wound that turned out to be fatal.
As of Sunday morning, no information about a suspect had been made public, and the investigation is still underway.
