Stratos Solutions Inc. expands in Fairfax County with $1.58 million investment and 28 new jobs
Chantilly, Virginia – In a significant development for Virginia’s growing intelligence and national security industry, Governor Glenn Youngkin announced that Stratos Solutions Inc. will expand its operations in Fairfax County with a $1.58 million investment. The employee-owned technical services company will move into 5,000 square feet of new office space at 14840 Conference Center Drive, creating 28 high-quality jobs in the region.
“Stratos Solutions Inc.’s expansion in Fairfax County reflects the strength of Virginia’s national security and intelligence ecosystem,” said Governor Glenn Youngkin. “With a commitment to excellence and a legacy of service to the U.S. intelligence community, Stratos is exactly the type of company we want growing here in the Commonwealth. I applaud their decision to invest in new space, create high-quality jobs and continue advancing critical missions from right here in Virginia.”
Founded in 2003, Stratos Solutions Inc. is known for its expertise in systems engineering, acquisition strategy, application development, and mission operations tailored specifically to the needs of the U.S. intelligence community. The firm’s employee-owners, averaging over 20 years of relevant experience, support complex technical and advisory roles across federal defense missions. Their services also include technical strategy, system design and delivery, and operational support.
Commitment to Growth and Mission Support
Chief Operating Officer Kevin Pratt emphasized the company’s deep roots and continued dedication to Virginia’s intelligence community. “Stratos Solutions Inc. is proud to deepen our roots in Fairfax County, where we founded and have maintained our headquarters for over 20 years,” Pratt said. “This expansion reflects both our continued growth and our enduring commitment to supporting the missions of the U.S. intelligence community. We are excited to invest in our future here—adding new jobs, expanding our footprint and continuing to deliver the highest caliber of technical and advisory services alongside our trusted partners in the Commonwealth of Virginia.”
The announcement underscores Fairfax County’s importance as a hub for companies serving national security needs. The company’s decision to remain and grow within the county demonstrates confidence in the region’s infrastructure, talent pool, and business climate.
Support from State and Local Leaders
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is backing the expansion through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP), a state-funded incentive that assists with workforce recruitment and training. The program helps reduce hiring costs and supports the creation of long-term employment opportunities for Virginians.
“Virginia is where mission-driven companies thrive, and Stratos Solutions Inc. is a prime example,” said Secretary of Commerce and Trade Juan Pablo Segura. “This expansion not only reinforces Northern Virginia’s status as a hub for technical and intelligence expertise but also highlights the strength of our talent pipeline and supportive business environment.”
Local leaders also celebrated the company’s commitment to the area. Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jeffrey C. McKay remarked, “We are excited that Stratos Solutions Inc. is expanding their corporate headquarters and thank them for decades of commitment to our community. Stratos Solutions Inc.’s groundbreaking work exemplifies the mission-driven excellence that defines the Fairfax County community and inspires economic growth in our region.”
Senator Stella Pekarsky also noted the potential for future job growth and business attraction. “Companies who choose to invest in our community will find that Fairfax County and our residents offer world class talent,” she said.
Delegate Karrie K. Delaney added, “Their partnership with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership to bring almost 30 new, high-paying jobs to our community is a testament to our region’s role in the high-tech industry and intelligence community. I commend the VEDP for their work on this partnership and congratulate Stratos on their expansion and welcome them back home to the 9th District.”
With the expansion of Stratos Solutions Inc., Virginia once again proves itself to be fertile ground for innovation, mission-driven service, and economic growth in the defense and intelligence sectors.
