Star City welcomes back the 2023 Festival of India

Roanoke, Virginia – The highly-anticipated 2023 Festival of India is slated to return, showcasing a vibrant array of Indian culture to the residents of Star City.

This year, Elmwood Park will once again serve as the backdrop for the cultural event. The festival, renowned for its live performances and bona fide cuisine, aims to bridge communities by sharing the rich traditions of India with the denizens of Roanoke.

Scheduled for August 12, between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., the park will transform into a hub of culinary delights. The menu promises a diverse range of traditional Indian dishes, from Bhel and Pav Bhaji to Samosas, Vada Pav, and Kati Rolls.

The Festival of India is an annual event, staged every August in alignment with India’s Independence Day. Its central aim is to share and celebrate the culture, music, art, and cuisine of India across the Roanoke Valley.
