Nearly 900 houses left powerless in Amherst County

Amherst County, Virginia – Nearly 900 houses were left powerless in Amherst County on Tuesday.
According to the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office, the outages were due to downed trees in the Buffalo Springs.
Customers were left without power around 3:15 a.m.
The power was restored at 9 p.m.
