United Way of Roanoke Valley launches new campaign

ROANOKE, Va. – On Tuesday morning, United Way of Roanoke Valley launched its new campaign with a heartfelt thank you and an ambitious objective.

United Way supporters met in Fitzpatrick Hall at the Jefferson Center.

Businesses and individuals that supported United Way and cared about the community were recognized during the event.

In addition, the group declared a $2 million campaign objective for 2022–2023.

Alisha Childress is Vice President of Resource Development at United Way of Roanoke Valley.

“We’re really excited and pumped. We want to make sure that we reach that goal, we surpass it and make sure that we’re really able to a make a community impact through those donations,” Childress said.

The United Way of Roanoke Valley raised $1.9 million last year, and organizers are hoping that the 2018 campaign will surpass that amount.
