Fredericksburg, Virginia – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced a scheduled pipe replacement project that will temporarily affect traffic on Route 621 (Marlborough Point Road) near Potomac Overlook Lane in Stafford County.

One-Way Traffic Control Starts January 5

Beginning Monday, January 5, 2026, VDOT crews will begin replacing a drainage pipe beneath the roadway. To ensure safety during the construction, flaggers will alternate one-way traffic from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily near the intersection.

The project is expected to be completed by Friday, January 9, weather permitting. While work is underway, access to Potomac Overlook Lane will be maintained at all times to minimize disruption for local residents.
